UCSB’s AAPG Student Chapter will be holding a gear drive from now until April 26, 2017 to benefit budding undergraduate geologists and our AAPG student chapter! We are asking for donations of gently used (or new) camping gear and geologic tools that can be used by students for field trips and field work. 

The best of the donated gear will be raffled off to undergraduates** during the All Gauchos Reunion on April 28, 2017! We also aim to help cover the cost of equipment and/or fees for undergraduates in the introductory field methods course. All other camping gear will be used for a free rental system run by AAPG to provide tents, sleeping bags and pads, and other camping necessities to students for field trips or field work. If you prefer to make an in-kind donation, checks can be made out to OSL (Office of Student Life), with AAPG in the memo.
