Job Opportunity: UCSB Earth Science Electronics Engineer

The Department of Earth Science at the University of California at Santa Barbara seeks a motivated, skilled and creative individual to support a range of electron- and ion-beam instruments, x-ray detection systems, high vacuum systems, high voltage systems, and electronic signals/communications in complex data acquisition systems. The individual will be expected to diagnose component-level electronics failures, research specifications of new / replacement equipment and interface with vendors / service engineers. An M.S. in Engineering, Physics or related field with experience in electronics and vacuum systems is required. Familiarity with mass spectrometers and x-ray detection systems is highly desired.
