Elizabeth Erickson wins the APECS Polar Week Photo Contest 2017

Elizabeth Erickson wins the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS) photo contest in the "Polar People at Home" category. Her photo was taken on November 1, 2016 during fieldwork in Antarctica with advisor John Cottle, fellow grad student Demian Nelson, and others. In this winning photo John and Demian take a break after cutting ice blocks to build a kitchen for their overnight test camp on the Ross Sea Ice Shelf.
